This is a bundle of 10 solder-type SIM/USIM/ISIM chips in ETSI MFF2 form-factor.

The sysmoISIM-SJA2 is a standards-compliant GSM SIM + UMTS USIM + IMS/VoLTE ISIM card.  It has a solder-type MFF2 form-factor.

It is intended to be used in sysmoNITB / Osmocom based cellular networks, but can be used with any core network, from GSM (2G) through UMTS (3G) and LTE (4G) as well as 5G.

All cards ship with factory-default unique IMSI and a card-individual random K + OPC.  The 2G SIM, USIM and ISIM authentication algorithm is set to MILENAGE.

One specific advantage of this card is its fully re-programmable nature, where the user can create/edit any files and directories (EF or DF) in the card filesystem.

sysmoISIM-SJA2 supports:

  • GSM Authentication: COMP128v1, COMP128v2 and COMP128v3, MILENAGE (default)
  • UMTS Authentication: MILENAGE (default)
  • Fixed ICCID (not programmable/writable!)
  • Programmable IMSI
  • Programmable MSISDN

NOTICE: This product is for operators of public or private mobile networks and the research community.  As a regular subscriber of mobile networks, you cannot clone another identity to this card, as you do not know the secret identity (Ki) of your original card!

From September 2021 onwards, the cards currently all ship with an IMSI in the MCC-MNC of 999-70. The MCC 999 is reserved by ITU for private cellular networks.

Before September 2021, our cards used 901-70, an allocated-but-unused range several years ago.  However, this range has recently been re-allocated by ITU to an operator (Clementvale Baltic OY). Subsequently we changed to 999-70.

MFF2 solder M2M SIM card to FPC adapter (10-pack)
In the M2M industry, the ETSI MFF2 (Machine Form Factor) SIM, is gaining momentum.  As opposed to regular SIMs, this type of sim is not user-removable, but soldered into the GSM-enabled product.This MFF2 SIM is sometimes also called VQFN8 SIM or SON-8 SIM.When debugging or analyzing problems with such MFF2 SIM, they cannot be directly used with regular phones, test mobiles or SIM protocol tracers like our SIMtrace product.However, using this adapter and our FPC SIM adapters, it is possible to use a ETSI MFF2 solder-type SIM with a mobile phone that has a plug-in sized (ID-000) SIM card slot.Please note that this adapter is only the PCB adapter with a MFF2 footprint and the FPC connector.  No FPC SIM cable is included, and no MFF2 SIM is included!You will have to obtain the FPC SIM cables separately.  If you already have a SIMtrace including the adapters, you can use them with this product.Any ETSI MFF2 compliant solder-type SIM can be soldered onto this adapter and used in regular mobile phones.This is a 10-pack, i.e. one pack consists 10 adapter PCBA.

Half-Size to Full-Size SIM card adapter
As the half-size form-factor for new  SIM cards is becoming more and more widespread, it is often difficult to insert those cards into many existing smart card readers - their slot is simply too deep for a card that only has half the regular card length.We are providing this adapter as a work-around: Its slot is very shallow, so you can comfortably insert and remove the half-size card, while the adapter os long enough to fit even into the deepest smart card readers (such as those bult into business laptops).

Omnikey CardMan 3121 USB CCID interface
The Omnikey CardMan 3121 is a USB smart card interface device. Colloquially these devices are also called "Card Reader", despite the fact that they can read and write as far as permitted by the card used.It is compatible with the USB CCID class device specification and can be used without any vendor drivers by Free / Open Source software such as libccid and OpenCT.  Having said that, it of course also works with vendor-supplied PC/SC drivers on Windows, as well as Mac OS X.The Omnikey CardMan 3121 offers a single full-sized card slot. So please make sure to obtain a mechanical adapter separately if you want to use it with plug-in sized SIM cards.
